How I got into medicine…

It all started when…

I have my upbringing in a very loving family and by wonderful parents from a rural town in Taiwan. Starting at a young age, I understood deeply the reality of the spiritual world, the precious nature of human life, the desperate condition of earthly illness and evil, and the realization of the immense value of my life’s worth. I aspired to only be a physician who can be an instrument for healing.

my medical education:

I earned my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. I also receive my Medical Acupuncture training from the Helms Medical Institute through the UCLA School Of Medicine during the 4th year in medical school. Then I completed the broad-spectrum family medicine training at Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC) in California, and was a core residency faculty member at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, California. I also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Biostatistics and Epidemiology from Loma Linda University.

my special interests in medicine:

My special interest in medicine has always been focused on the delivery of healthcare to those who are underserved with a special passion for medical education. Through my clinical practice, I have developed particular interests in palliative care medicine, procedural medicine, wilderness and developing world medicine, public health, osteopathic manipulative medicine, and medical acupuncture. I like medical mysteries and to find out-of-box solutions for patients.

my lifetime goals:

My lifetime goal is to help myself and others to better develop and integrate spiritual, emotional, and physical care.
